Chartreuse is one of those colors that you either love or hate. Ranging from mellow yellow to a neon green, chartreuse is all over the runways this season to the delight (or chagrin) of trend followers everywhere. I adore chartreuse in all its varying hues so when I started seeing the color popping up in the wedding world I was giddy.
Chartreuse is not for the faint of heart bride! It’s bold, brash, and in your face. But, that doesn’t mean this color is a one-pony. You can pair chartreuse with a range or colors – some muted, some just as bold, to create looks that range from feminine and classic to modern and minimalist.
Grey + Chartreuse
Paired with grey, Chartreuse conveys a modern, ethereal elegance. If using a bright shade of Chartreuse that is on the greener end of the spectrum, stick with more muted grey tones to avoid a heavy, dank palette.

Navy + Chartreuse
Perfect for a vintage barn wedding, navy adds a calming feel to the vivid and modern chartreuse. By incorporating textures such as burlap, denim, and shantung you can create a warm, inviting atmosphere that says refined and rustic rather than musty cowboy.

No matter what season your event takes place in, don’t feel as if you must use certain traditional seasonal colors. Let the feeling you want your day to have dictate the shades you choose and have fun with your colors!
